Please meet returning Camp Director Lena Katz
Hello everyone my name is Lena Katz and I'm excited to be the Camp Director this summer at Camp Zena! I was a member at Zena from age three to fifteen and I'm so happy to be back as director this year. I started working with children at Zena Rec when I was eight years old as a mother's helper. Never did I think that would be the beginning of me working with all different kinds of children for the rest of my life. I have always had a soft spot for children and they always seem to flock to me. I went to two different colleges. I started off getting my associates degree in Early Childhood Liberal Arts and then while still working in the early childhood field I got my bachelors degree in Early Childhood. I have worked in many settings from babysitting to camps, private school, and daycares. My favorite age group has always been working with children ages 0-5, but I've gotten to work with older kids all the way to high school and they touch my heart just as much. I am really looking forward to seeing a bunch of new and adorable faces at Camp Zena! I can't wait for them to fill my heart with love, joy, and a million stories of how they're enjoying their summer here just like I did at their age! |
