About the artist:

Joe Colwell

Meet Joe Colwell, a 20-year-old singer, songwriter, and guitarist with British Roots raised in Montclair, NJ. During the Covid-19 Pandemic, Joe relocated to Pine Hill, where he spent his time at home recording and writing music, and as things opened up, started performing at local Bars, Breweries, Inns, and Distilleries. Since then, Joe has performed at notable venues including the Bitter End in NYC, Summerfest in Milwaukee, the Pride festival in Montclair NJ, and the Wellmont Theater. Inspired by the likes of Marvin Gaye, Bruce Springsteen, John Mayer, and Jason Isbell, Joe brings a soulful and commercial spin to an old soul, timeless, authentic storyteller sound. After studying music engineering, songwriting, and production at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music, Joe Moved back to Woodstock to start working as an assistant at Utopia Studios, and has been recording an EP that he plans to release this summer. He is so excited to be playing this Sunday at Zena Rec!
